abhi-vādana

n. respectful salutation (including sometimes the name orﾠ title of the person so addressed andﾠ followed by the mention of the person's own name);

salutation (of a superior orﾠ elder by a junior orﾠ inferior, andﾠ especially of a teacher by his disciple;
in generaI it is merely lifting the joined hands to the forehead andﾠ saying ahamabhivādaye, I salute)
